Facts about Maggie Moo

  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Rizzo is everything you could ever hope for in a boxer but she would do best in a home with no other pets. She is a very dominant female but may do okay with supervision and slow introductions to other submissive dogs. At about 65lbs, she is a good-sized girl with a beautiful fawn coat and big floppy ears. She is protective of her home and will let her humans know when there are people with a little bit of grumbling. She is not loud and only barks when someone comes to the door. She loves meeting new people when she gets permission and greets everyone with a typical boxer wiggle-butt. She has done well meeting children but might be best in a home with older children since she is a bit clumsy and loves to give big full-face smooches.

Rizzo is energetic, playful, and has many adorable little quirks that will keep you laughing day in and day out. She is an inquisitive and curious girl and is always exploring her home. She has a couple funny diva-like tendencies (also responds to "princess" and "pretty, little miss"). She loves drinking warm water, sleeping with her head on a pillow and prefers not to get wet or muddy. You will not fool her into getting anywhere near a pool and definitely don't have to worry about her playing in the mud! She loves to play with her toys inside and gets very excited for new toys, especially squeakers! She also loves to chase soccer balls and basketballs by rolling them around with her nose. She will never chew anything that has not been given to her as a toy. While she has plenty of energy and is a great running buddy, Rizzo is also happy to curl up next to her humans and spend the whole day snuggling. She is very affectionate and enjoys being with people but she also does well by herself as long as she has a comfy place to sleep. She is very well-mannered and knows her basic commands well. She is crate-trained but does perfectly fine when left out all day as long as there is no food left out for her to get into. She is very food motivated and will do anything for cheese!

Rizzo is healthy and heartworm-free though she has some minor seasonal and food allergies. After trying many different foods, she is currently eating an affordable vegetarian formula dog food which has kept her skin and coat looking very healthy.

If you are looking for endless snuggles and a goofy boxer personality, Rizzo could be the perfect dog for you!
