Callie is a female Shih Tzu/Poodle mix approximately 2 years in age. She is a nice sturdy size, weighing in at 14 pounds full-grown. She has soft, curly gray and white fur and a sweet, black button nose. She has been professionally groomed and is non-shedding. Callie would be happiest in a home where she has another playful dog to romp around with. She would make the ultimate family dog because she is super friendly with absolutely everyone. Friends, neighbors, kids, other dogs - Callie welcomes one and all. She is snuggly and affectionate and also a fun girl, the life of the party, playful and perky. She has such a kind, happy way about her that she can get any dog (or child) that she meets to play. She is hard to resist! Callie is a social butterfly and wants to be right in the middle of the action, wherever that may be. She can handle an active household with lots of kids and will actually thrive in a home where she can be included in daily family life. She walks well on leash and can go on short or long walks, trips to the park, beach, or weekend outings. She seems to always have a big smile on her face and her bubbly, joyful nature will bring a smile to your face and warmth into your heart. Callie was brought in to a very high-volume/high-kill shelter in a sad and neglected state. What a shame it would have been for this lovely young dog to have gone unnoticed. She is a darling dog and a true gem! You can't go wrong with this well-rounded pup. Callie is healthy and ready for her new forever loving home today!

Callie’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

You may meet and apply to adopt Callie at our ADOPTION EVENT on SATURDAY, MARCH 14th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in IRVINE located at 15333 Culver Dr., Irvine, CA 92604. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CALLIE, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
