My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID

This is sweet and silly Roxy, or as we lovingly call her Roxy Rue. Roxy is an 8 year old female Pug with the best personality and just an easy girl to have around. Roxy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after being turned into a shelter; she had spent the last year of her life living in the backyard with a dog house for shelter.

Roxy was a bit sickly when she came into foster care; she has a very bad eye infection and major trouble breathing. Medication for her eyes to clear up the infection, nasal and soft palette surgery to help with her breathing and she is doing 100% better. Roxy does suffer from chronic dry eye and will need to have a drop in her eyes every day for the rest of her life. The cost for this is not expensive. Because of her dry eye she doesn’t see as well as she could if she had been given proper care from a vet early on. She still sees fairly well and it doesn’t slow her activity down in the least. Her hearing is perfect, she can hear you open the pantry door in the kitchen from the other side of the house. (Dog treats in this cupboard).

Now that she is living indoors with her foster family she has thrived! She loves being an indoor family member and is housetrained and has never had an accident in our home. Roxy likes the company of another dog and loves to play and wrestle with the dogs she lives with. Roxy loves soft dog toys and if it has a squeaker in it, even better. Roxy knows how to sit for a treat and will take it gently from you.

Roxy has a great energy about her and really is such an easy dog to have in your home. Roxy is crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night without a peep. Roxy eats a grain free diet as most Pugs are very sensitive to grain.

Roxy loves kids and just being with her family in whatever room you are in. Roxy would do well as an only dog and with a retired couple or with a family. Roxy would do best in a home where someone is home off and on during the day or at home with another dog to keep her company.

If this sweet little puggy girl sounds like a match for you please go to www.fuzzypawzrescue.com and fill out the adoption application and her foster mom will get back with you soon.

Roxy’s adoption fee is $100 to cover part of the cost of the vetting the rescue did.

Roxy is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
