Jill's Story...
Meet Jill! She's a 12 year old jack russell mix who's looking for a quiet retirement home. Jill was recently brought to the shelter after her owner passed away. None of the owner's family was able to take her, so now she's here looking for a new home. Jill didn't come to the shelter alone though, her 4 'puppies' came too. Hercules, Rambo, Sheba, and Delilah are all Jill's pups and are about 10 years old. They are also looking for new homes.

Before being adopted Jill will be up to date on shots, spayed, and will have a microchip. Now all she needs is a warm place to sleep and someone to love her. Do you have room for this sweet senior girl in your home? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jill, a Youngwood Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
