My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carlton was rescued from a high kill local shelter where he had been brought in as a stray. Sadly for Carlton, no one ever came to claim him and he ended up on the euthanasia list. The shelter walker knew he was an awesome cat and contacted Furry Friends to see if they could take him into their foster/adoption program, which of course, they did. When Carlton's foster mom was about to microchip him, she realized he was already chipped! The shelter had missed his chip and had not contacted his owners! There were three phone numbers listed for Carlton: one was nonworking and the other two belonged to the same woman. She did return a voicemail with another voicemail to FFAR, stating that Carlton was "not hers" but she is an animal lover and would be willing to "adopt" him if need be. Although Carlton had been reported missing in May of 2014 (when he was just three months old!), the same person now said he did not belong to her. When his foster mom called her back multiple times to try to get more information about why her number was listed on his chip if she wasn't his owner, she did not return the calls. So being microchipped did Carlton no good when he got lost or when he got found. It is unknown where he lived between May of 2014 and February of 2015 when he landed in the shelter, but now he is safe in a foster home until a wonderful family falls in love with this adorable tuxedo (now only one year old) and brings him into their forever family. Carlton is an awesome cat! He is super sweet and calm and gets along with kids, cats and dogs. He has the cutest markings on his face! Please fill out an application and adopt Carlton today. You'll be so glad you did!
