Sasha's Story...
I’m at a loss for words here…I mean, what do ya say about a dog that is good with kids, cats, and other dogs other than just saying, “ I’m good with kids, cats, and other dogs”… And what do ya say about a dog who is so darn sweet, affectionate, and gentle, other than just saying “I am so darn sweet, affectionate, and gentle”. And what do you say about a dog who is not only calm and collected, but crate trained, too, other than “ I’m not only calm and collected but crate trained, too!” What do say about a girl looking for a calm and loving environment, other than "I'm a wonderful girl looking for a wonderful family to take me home"....Golly geez… I’m gonna be workin’ on this gosh darn bio all night… 6 years old-38lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes spay, microchip, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
