My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pickle is a special girl! Months ago, we were asked to take in this survivor of cruelty. She was a victim of a life on chain in a dog-fighting environment. Pickle is one of the 367 dogs confiscated in the country's second largest dog-fighting bust. After months at the ASPCA emergency shelter, she needed a place to land. We had no place for this pretty petite lady but thanks to Brian and Sarah and their staff at Instinct Dog Training, we were able to make her a Bully Project pup!

Pickle was terrified when arriving to the big city. We are thankful to the expertise of everyone at Instinct. They knew not to overwhelm her and let her get settled. Within weeks, she was wiggling and playing with dogs and learning that the people taking care of her were gentle and kind. She adores her circle of friends which keeps on expanding.

Pickle LOVES to play! And would do well living with another dog. It will surely keep her busy, tired and happy but ALSO help her confidence around new people and surroundings.

Pickle would do best in a home outside of the city, ideally with a fenced-in yard where she can play and feel safe. She likes training and is food-motivated!

She is a super special girl who will need adopters who understand her fearfulness and be patient. Pickle would like a home with adults as children might overwhelm her and we want to set this lady up to succeed.

Please note: we are a foster-based rescue group, not a shelter. We do not have a brick & mortar facility and all of our pets live in homes throughout the city. All meetings are by appointment only after we have an approved application on file. Please do not visit any address listed online unannounced.
