Donnie's Story...
Say hello to our handsome Donnie!

Donnie came to us from a feral colony that we were trapping/spaying/neutering. Well...he is far from feral, so he came back with us. Donnie is in superb health, but something sets him apart from most other cats - he is deaf. Does that hold him back? No! He LOVES to play with other cats, snuggle with willing people, stalk his stuffed animal "prey" and, well...sleep very soundly! Let us just tell you first hand that he is a constant source of humor and a true joy to be around. Donnie is looking for his forever home and will be a wonderful companion to his forever family!

Due to obvious reasons, he must be indoor only.

Please contact us at Thefortrescue@gmail.com if you are interested in Donnie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donnie, a Asheboro Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Asheboro, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Asheboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
