Mika's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mika's Story...
Mika is not your average 7 month old kitten. She acts more like a dog than a cat. Mika loves to lay on laps and cuddle and will purr as loud as a motorboat! She is only about 5 pounds and her coat is soft and sleek. Mika does great with cats, dogs and young children. She is the perfect electric blanket at night as she will lay right next to you and keep you warm. Mika especially loves feet......yes feet! She will curl up around your feet and hug them! She is such a sweet girl and would do great in any household! Mika is being fostered in Hazel Green, AL and we'd love to introduce you to her. Please email info@FORrescue.net to speak with her foster mom and you may complete our application at http://forrescue.net/cat-application/. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mika, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
