My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Cutler Bay, FL
Beanie Baby is a very special guy. You see, he was listed twice on Craigslist - once by his owner, and once by the person who rescued him from his owner (but couldn't keep him). We don't know why he was rehomed by either family, but he is safe & sound and having fun at his foster home now. Beanie is approximately 7 months old, giving him an approximate birth date of May 15, 2014. He came into rescue weighing 13.7 pounds, but can stand to gain a few pounds. Beanie is good with small dogs and cats, but gets a little nervous at first around big dogs; once he knows the biggier dogs are his friends, and don't mean him harm, they become buddies. Beanie loves to be close to people and gets very excited when it's his turn for loving and cuddling. He makes cute little noises when he's being held and petted, as if he's saying "all this love is for me?". Beanie is totally crate trained and will go in without a fuss. He will sleep without a peep in his crate, or in bed with his canine & feline friends - and a teenager. After he jumps around the bed for a bit, he settles right in and curls up for a nap. Beanie gets distracted very easily, so a home with lots of patience and training experience under their belt would be awesome for him. Beanie is a big ol' baby, and so much fun to be around! He is very strong, and pulls on the leash when walking, but he's working hard to be gentler on a leash. Beanie is hoping for a lively family and one that will understand the Terrier in the Rat Terrier breed. Lots of energy, love and laughs are what Beanie Baby is all about.
