Precious's Story...
44756 Precious – The very most treasured things in life are referred to as precious, you know. I find it to be true in this case as well. I’m Precious, a 15 year old spayed female who is ready for a quiet home and a soft bed. I would do best as the only cat in the household, and I’m good with older, respectful children (little ones scare me a bit too much!). I think perhaps with all of my years, I’ve earned the right to a nice quiet place to live! All in all, despite my age, I have a wonderfully sweet disposition (Please stay away from my tummy, though…I may act as though I want you to pet it from time to time, but I promise I don’t really!) One might say I’m the typical cat in some aspects! And if cattitude is considered bad, well, then, who wants to be good?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Reading Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Reading, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Reading.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reading already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reading breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reading paves the way for another one to be saved.
