MEET PUPPY GIRL -
Drumroll, please...Ta DA! Meet Puppy Girl, the newest, superstar addition to the Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. Puppy Brigade! This 10 week old, purebred (akc w/no papers), Standard female Dachshund puppy was rescued from a breeder in Texas but is now living safely and comfortably at a foster home in the Pacific Northwest while she looks for the perfect forever family who will give her love and her own special name. Puppy girl is smart, loving and super cute with her long, soft, creamy fur. This smart, adorable puppy will do best in a forever family with a stay at home parent (retired/work from home) and children over the age of 10 who understand the special needs of Dachshunds.
NOTE FROM ODR, INC. Because she is so young, Puppy Girl's adoptive family will need to sign an agreement to have her spayed at 6 months of age and have her puppy shots completed on time.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $495, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
