Duffy's Story...
Duffy was rescued along with his littermates, brother Murphy and sister Colleen, when they were about 4 weeks old. (Their mom was rescued about a month later). Duffy looks exactly like his mom! He is all white except for his black cap and tail. This chubby cutie tested negative for FIV/Leuk, shots up-to-date, wormed, neutered and microchipped. Born approximately 7/1/14. Playful, affectionate and ready for adoption so meet him now!
UPDATE: Duffy was adopted along with his brother, Murphy. Recently their adoptive family suffered a tragedy which left the kittens orphaned. They must be adopted together. If you would like to meet these two handsome and sweet boys, please contact us. Updated pictures available soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duffy, a Newark Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Newark, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
