Stoney's Story...
Stoney is a redtick American English Coonhound from Virginia. He's 2 - 4 yrs old and was found stray with his friend River. Stoney is a bit cautious in new situations and was not too happy about having his picture taken here. You can view a video of River and Stoney at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSNIdX1IAq8&feature=youtu.be
You can see in the video that he does want to approach the kennel assistant and receive the same attention as River - and he finally sits nicely to receive some petting. He'll be a good companion and will blossom in a home environment with some patience and TLC. The shelter is a stressful place for many dogs. Stoney will have an ideal adult weight of about 50 - 55 lbs. He's been vetting and is awaiting transport north, expected to arrive mid-March.
