I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
TeddyBear (Teddy B.) is a male Wheaton Terrier Cross; approximately 4 years old. He is current on vaccinations and is microchipped. Teddy B. is blind. We've had him to a specialist and have learned that his eyes are not the problem so our next stop is a vet specializing in neurological care. Let us reassure you though, Teddy B. does not let his blindness slow him down; he is a happy loving dog and his tail starts wagging when he hears his name spoken by a friendly voice he recognizes. He is content to just sit and share his space with you when you have time to take a break. He can entertain himself with his stuffed toys while he waits patiently for you to have time for him. This is a very loving dog who needs a very special someone to have the patience, the love and the heart to help him live out his life knowing he is safe in the hands of his new guardian angel. Right now, Teddy is not a candidate to go to a home that has other pets. Teddy has not adjusted fully to his blindness and other pets in the home could add to his sensory issues. Right now he needs to be with someone who can give him quite a bit of one-on-one time with consistent and persistent training. Teddy may do well with another dog in the home in the future, but right now, addressing his own sensory needs comes first.
Teddy is waiting, might you be the one to give him his new furever home?
