Meet Tyson and Tanner, the cutest best friends you will ever know. A bonded pair, they play together, eat together, and sleep together. Two pups for twice the loving. They compete for their human's attention, switching smoothly between cuddling and playing. Tyson would spend all day in your lap if he could. Thankfully, he has Tanner to drag him away and encourage him to play. Tanner loves toys. He collects them in his bed and almost always has a ball in his mouth. The story of Tyson and Tanner is becoming all too common in today's world. They were the beloved companions of a woman who passed away and left no arrangements for her bonded Pug pair. She had them since they were babies and the only option appeared to be for the pair to be transferred to a high-kill shelter.
Tanner and Tyson are an inseperable pair. They each shine with their own distinct personalities that highly compliment each other. When they play together, it is hard to tell if they are playing or fighting sometimes because they make the cutest sounds!. They are each other's best friends while always wanting human attention as well.
Tyson is the snuggle bug of the two. He always wants to sit on someone's lap, sleep in bed, and generally just follows his humans around. He listens well and comes on comand. A very vocal dog, he communicates with everyone around him through grumbles, growls, and snorts. He always feels the need to express his opinions on every matter. His next favorite thing to sitting in a lap is belly rubs. He loves to drag his stomach on the sun warmed ground outside or roll over for some proper scratches
Tanner's mohawk is the clear indicator of his personality. He is a rebel, through and through. When outside, he prefers to show his independent side and explore. As the instigator of the two, he constantly drags Tyson into playing and can almost always convince the people around him to throw the ball. Late at night though, when no one is looking, he puts his mohawk away and becomes the baby of the family. He loves his cuddles and snuggles just as much as Tyson, he just acts a little tougher about it.
They prefer to spend their days together, and they share their crate where they go when no one is home or at night (unless someone is feeling soft and lets them sleep in bed). They love to go on runs, racing down the street together. They handle well on a leash, and except for when they spot the occasional rabbit, almost never pull.
Ultimately, Tyson and Tanner will thrive in a home with lots of attention. Having bonded so well together, they prefer to keep it that way. They need a family that will spoil them rotten while still setting firm, healthy boundaries. They want a home filled with light play and heaps of love.
