My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Perkins here....I am a 10 year old beagle boy who was lost and taken in by AZBR in the summer of 2011. I am a big beagle, much taller than normal, by an inch or two. I was much bigger than I should be weight-wise, but after dieting for quite a while I am now at my ideal weight of about 38 pounds. I will play ball with you, but prefer tug of war. I like walks as well and my foster mom says I've improved my manners and do not pull as much as I used to. I just get so excited to go out, but will settle down after I've walked a bit. I am still trying to work on my manners when passing other dogs on a walk, as I tend to get overly excited and will bark at dogs passing by. Car rides are one of my favorite things as well. I use the doggie door here, but will also tell you if I need out if the doggie door is shut. I get along pretty well with my foster brothers and sisters, but I really prefer the company of humans. I do really like my food, so I do need to be watched at feeding time if there are other dogs around....I might object to them being near. My foster mom crates me to feed me, and I go right in the crate when she tells me to. I do love to curl up on the couch at night, or on the pad near my foster mom's bed. I love to be petted, and usually ask for more by putting my head under your hand. So, if you are looking for a bigger beagle boy, please think of me. I would love to go home with you.
