Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy folks, The name's Rooster, 8 years young, and I'm a big (as in tall, not fat!) ol' beagle-basset mix that is sadly looking for a new human companion. You see, my mom needs to move in a few months to take care of family members, and she knows that a small apartment isn't the place for me. So, she's asked the nice people at AZBR to help me find a new home. I'll be sad to leave my mom, but I know there's another family out there for me. Let's see, what do you want to know? I love tennis balls, I follow my humans around the house (or find a place to nap where I can keep an eye on everyone!), and I love sharing the human bed at night. I prefer not to be left alone (what can I say, I am a little attached to my humans!), so my mom thinks a family that is home a lot would be best. Maybe some older kids that can run around with me and wear me out would be best? I am best in a house without really young kids, as I can be a bit food aggressive, and my mom doesn't want me to accidentally nip a little kid that tried to share my food. I have lived with cats in the past, and I do okay, but I can be a little bit of a bully towards them (sorry... I just want to play!). I'm great with other dogs in the house, though I can be a little bit too excited when meeting other dogs on a leash. What do you think.... does your house sound like a fit today? I'd love to meet you. Thanks, Rooster
