My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello there! Please let me introduce myself. I am Beauregard! Of course, Beauregard is quite a mouthful for a handsome young pup like me, and foster mom thinks Beau sounds too much like “No” and confuses me. She might be right- I do hear that word “No” a lot. I am a beagle puppy after all! She mostly just calls me Patches. I think that fits with the patches and markings on my fur! Don’t you think I’m handsome?
I came in to the shelter with parvo and pneumonia, so I was a very sick little boy for a while. The good people there saw to it that I got lots of love, attention, and all the medical care I needed. When I was well enough they sent me to MW BREW and I am now ready for my forever home. Being so sick at such a young age might have slowed down my development and social skills some, but I am catching up pretty quickly. Sometimes I play a little too rough, but I stop as soon as foster mom asks me to. And I can get pretty rowdy, excited, and vocal, and sometimes nippy when I play too. Heck, that’s just part of being a puppy that is now healthy and happy! Because of this, I probably wouldn’t do really well in a house with young children. But I am learning. Someone eager to take some obedience classes and training with me would be great!
I have no food aggression but I do try to keep all the nylabones for myself. I also try to boss the other dogs around but the senior girl that lives here puts me in my place right away. I just get excited to play! I love being around other dogs, and people too! I’m good in my crate, and my housetraining is coming along really well too. I also do really well in the car. Aroooo! I love a road trip!
If you are looking for a striking, unusual young guy, someone who can grow into your best friend and companion, and love you for a long, long time, then I’m your man! Er, I’m your boy! Anyway- I know you’re out there somewhere! Come and find out more about me soon!
