Mindy, Marvelous Lab!'s Story...
Here’s best our loveable Labrador beauty, Mindy! She is just over a year old- and weighs just about 65lbs. She is a great girl and gets along well and easily with the rest of the gang at her foster mom’s house. Mindy is calm and quiet, smart and friendly. She’s been with foster mom Tracy for 10 weeks after Tracy rescued her out of high kill north Georgia’s Gordon County shelter. When Tracy first met Mindy, Mindy had recently had puppies, was underweight and had skin issues. Even though she was sweet as all get out, Mindy had no chance of being adopted at the shelter because she was not pretty and would take some time to get there. Lucky for Mindy, Tracy took her home and now she’s gorgeous, and a good weight. Mindy is ready to moving on to her forever home, thanks to foster mom and Tracy’s TLC! Mindy is confident and affectionate and a total “people-pup”. Mindy is smart and loving and eager to please. She will love to go to work with you, sit by you in the office- run errands or accompany you on your walks. She is an amazing “fetcher” and LOVES her balls, Frisbee and toys! She has an easy going temperament and is enthusiastic about her play time with foster mom’s other dogs. Mindy gets along well with all the other dogs, puppies and even the bigger guys in foster care too. She loves her daily walks and curiously and enthusiastically strolls right next to foster mom Tracy. She would love weekly hikes and can’t wait to meet the beach! Mindy is loving and great with children, even the little ones. She’s loyal and loving and loves company. Mindy is very good in the house and can be trusted out of her crate. She loved the recent Georgia snow and enjoys everything outdoors. She is good with Tracy’s cats and her large pet pig as well as her horses and other dogs. Mindy is house trained and crate trained and good on the leash. This outgoing and even tempered girl will make a great family dog and a super exercise partner. She is intelligent, ready to learn and knows her basic commands. Mindy is not bothered by the rainy weather and loves being outdoors and politely sticks right with you. Mindy is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Miss Mindy’s adoption fee is $500 and we expect her to make an easy transition to her new home. She would love a nice fenced yard, lots of people and outdoor time and will play nicely with others at the dog park! She will be sooo very thankful if you want to make her your newest family member! Miss Marvelous Mindy will be leaving for Washington State either March 12th or March 18th. Please apply online at www.raincityrescue.com (choose adopt tab) or email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com if you have Mindy questions. Beautiful and enthusiastic Mindy will make your awesome family complete and give you laughs and love for years to come!
