Skye's Story...
Meet Skye, a purebred female German Shepherd who is only 11 months old. This beautiful girl had been purchased from a breeder by an older couple who realized that they could not give her the exercise and lifestyle that a large young dog needs. Still very puppy-like, Skye will do best in a breed-experienced home that has the time to continue her training. She has tons of potential and not a mean bone in her body, a friendly dog who greets strangers well. If you know German Shepherds and have been looking for a young one to adopt, Skye is a perfect candidate. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you are interested in adopting Skye.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skye, a Rigaud German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
