Dusty's Story...
Dusty is a female, short hair, tortoiseshell. Age undetermined, but young. Spayed and current on vaccinations. Dusty came to GGOH via a concerned citizen when she was found wandering around an area in downtown New Richmond, WI. It was quickly apparent this young sweetheart was pregnant. She was scooped up and off to one of our volunteers to foster and have her babies. Dusty had 6 sweet, healthy babies on Oct. 17th, 2014 (Moyra, Decklyn, Seamus, Paddy, Liam and Fiona). Dusty was a little worn out after caring and delivering her furkids as she was very run down upon arrival prior to delivery. In her most recent photo above, you can see she has bounced back and is looking great. Dusty is a very sweet, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle. As she remains in foster care awaiting her very special someone, if you are interested in meeting Dusty, please give us a call to set up an appointment so that we can have her on-site for you.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond, breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond, paves the way for another one to be saved.
