Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone. My name is Oreo and I'm about 4 years young. I lived with my family since I was a puppy. My mom had a doggy door so I could go outside to potty whenever I wanted. Then we moved to a new home with a fenced in yard, but no doggy door,. That was ok,. I let them know when I had to go outside by looking at them. Yup. I would just look at them and they finally figured out that was my way of telling them I had to go potty.
I'm not sure what happened, but they decided they could no longer keep me. They told the nice people at the dog pound that the little girl I've always lived with is allergic to me. They also said that I was an escape artist and was getting out of their fenced in backyard. Now the fence is 6 ft high, and I don't know if you noticed from my pictures, but I'm a full figured gal, so I didn't squeeze out under the fence - I would have gotten stuck! And I'm not scaling a 6 foot fence! That sounds like too much work. So if left the yard, I can't remember how I did it. Remember, I'm a dog. I can't possibly remember details like that :-)
They said except for those things, I was the perfect dog! I'm very friendly and well-socialized. I'm housebroken, calm but very alert and very interested in everything around me. I'm a cuddlebug and would be very happy snuggling up next to you. I wasn't allowed on the furniture, but would try to rest my head on a knee, leaning my whole body into my owner's body. I'm good with other dogs, but definitely no cats. They tend to bother me. Lol.
I love kids and enjoyed hanging out on the floor of the kids' room as they played or slept. I miss them already. The pound is a strange, unsettling place. I'm a very happy dog and I'm sure I'll adjust. But I would be happier with a little more company. And a life long home where I can relax with my family for the rest of my life.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
