Marley is a handsome, gentle, and soulful, two-and-a-half-year-old, 42 lb. Flat Coat Retriever mix, or Retriever mix who was rescued from the Inland Valley Humane Society. He came into the shelter as a stray and was kenneled with three other dogs his size. Marley is learning how much fun the world can be. He is calm and gracious, silly and flirtatious. We love how affectionate and hopeful he is. Marley would be great for someone who wants a playful, but altogether low-key dog to keep them company. Marley is warm-eyed and social with just the right amount of an independent streak. We have the idea he has lived a nice life in a home before and has the start of some good training. He walks well on the leash and likes to play with you with the ball; i.e., bring it back to you. His best fit would be a home with a yard, however, Marley must be an indoor dog and allowed to live inside the house among his people. The home we seek is either with another nice dog in the home, that fits him, or as an only dog in the home, to a single person, or couple. We think he would be fine with older children.
