Bruno's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Bruno's Story...
Bruno is a handsome 8 year old black male Cocker Spaniel with a natural tail. Although we believe him to be a purebred, it is possible that he could have some Clumber Spaniel in his line - he has that adorable jowly look around the face that makes him exceptionally endearing. Bruno comes to us from the Brooklyn Shelter, where he was brought following a police raid, in which he was seized. To say the least, Bruno has found life to be rather dramatic recently. His golden years have not quite been what he expected. Despite it all, Bruno remains an extremely gentle dog who received the shelter's highest behavioral evaluation: 'No Concern', which is the equivalent of a gold star. His temperament is such that he can definitely go to a home with kids, where he would enjoy playing cops and robbers (however, he'd prefer to keep things make believe this time around). Bruno has been neutered, microchipped, is up-to-date on all shots, has tested negative for heartworm and been treated to a much-needed dental. He has just been professionally groomed and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt Bruno - or offer him a foster home while he awaits his forever family - please email and request an application. Anyone looking to foster will find him a low key friend and an excellent companion! Bruno is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a 'BANG' (he'd just prefer fireworks to bullets this time, thanks).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruno, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
