Franky's Story...
Meet 'Frankie Goes To Hollywood', a handsome 4 year old male Cocker Spaniel named for the 80's rock band who sang all about 'The Power of Love.' Frankie comes to us from the Brooklyn Shelter, where he was turned in as a stray. While out searching for the Hollywood Walk of Fame recently, Frankie lost his way (unfortunately, he was on the wrong coast). As his studio did not send a search party, we can only assume there was a major creative difference (fame, of course, is fickle). Frankie is now ready to sign with someone new and to find his star on a fresh patch of sidewalk. This little charmer is in great health, has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar, all under the watchful eye of his current stylist. To bring a little Hollywood home to your heart and enjoy the Power of Love, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Frankie is ready to begin Take Two.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franky, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
