FrizzBee's Story...
A little Freebie Advice from our 'FrizzBee', a 3 year old Bichon who comes to us from the Brooklyn Shelter, where he was turned in as a stray: Don't judge a book by its cover, or a beautiful Bichon on the basis of a bad, frizzy hair day. It's been a while since anyone has troubled to treat this special boy to a spa day ... sadly, he was so matted upon intake that there was no option but to shave him down completely. He's so adorable, though, that FrizzBee could make his new look work even on the Paris catwalk (where he's prepared to do a doggy walk FrizzBee style). FrizzBee has a wonderful temperament and conducts himself beautifully both with people and with other pets. He should make an excellent family dog and could easily join a multiple pet household. FrizzBee has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt FrizzBee, please email and request an application. Some final Freebie Advice from our FrizzBee: don't Shop when you can Adopt. Let fashion find you in the form of a rescued pet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FrizzBee, a Flushing Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
