George's Story...
George is a handsome buff Cocker Spaniel just 5 years old. Although he needs a few minutes to warm up to strangers, George is a truly loving dog who is looking for a new best friend. George is a mite too nervous for a home with children but should do wonderfully well in an adult only environment. He will make a great companion for someone who is retired, works from home, or otherwise leads a quiet life. George is a very healthy dog who has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. He has just been professionally groomed (he loves his new shorter haircut!) and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt George or perhaps foster him as he awaits his forever family, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. George would like to be your new best friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
