Lady Di's Story...
Meet Lady Di - a 6 year old female buff Cocker Spaniel. She's to die for, of course. Look into those deep brown eyes and you're a goner for sure. You'll lose your heart, if not your mind ... unless of course you take her home, in which event you'll be keeping both! Lady Di comes to us from the Brooklyn Shelter, where she was surrendered due to 'personal problems'. Lady Di can only sigh ... the whole experience of abandonment in the city kill pound has struck her as one big betrayal and made her most upset. Since coming into rescue, Lady Di has begun to feel a little better. She's been to the vet for a check up, where she was treated to a dental, spayed, microchipped, brought up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for heartworm. She's just been professionally groomed and will go home with a new leash and collar. Lady Di would benefit from a low key, experienced Cocker Spaniel home where her adopters can offer her the time, space and TLC to feel safe again. She is a wonderful dog who will make a wonderful companion once given the opportunity to bond and trust. If you would like to adopt Lady Di - or offer her a foster home while she awaits her forever family - please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Lady Di is ready to become your fairy princess.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Di, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
