Lindsey's Story...
Lindsey is a 4 year old red and white female Cocker Spaniel with a natural tail that she swishes like a feather. This happy-go-lucky girl with a flair for life was found wandering by the Bronx Zoo, where she was looking at lions, tigers and bears. Eventually she made her way to the Manhattan Shelter, where she too found herself caged. When her stray time was up and she went unadopted, Lindsey was surrendered to rescue. Lindsey has now been spayed, microchipped, is up-to-date on all shots, tested negative for heartworm and even had a dental. She was professionally groomed and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt Lindsey, please email and request an application. Lindsey is ready to be your new best friend and should make an excellent family pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lindsey, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
