Pauper Prince's Story...
This is the story of a Prince who became a Pauper. Once a well-loved dog, he was surrendered to a shelter when his owner fell ill. Our Prince not only lost all his worldly goods but all those intangible things that are so essential to a dog's well-being: knowing his place in the world, safe in the love of a family he called his own. The Prince began to search and sniff on his occasional walks outside his kennel, hoping to find his way back to the family he loved, but sadly could never break free. The life he knew was gone forever. As days turned into weeks and no one came forward to offer him refuge, the Prince faced a certain death. However, a Princess from the Borough of Queens learned of his sad fate and, at the eleventh hour, offered him asylum within her Rescue Kingdom. The bewildered Prince, tired and sad after his long ordeal, gratefully accepted her offer to stay for a while. He is now seeking a new home and hearth, where he will once again become the jewel in someone's crown. And there the story ends for now, at least until you author the next few lines. Prince is a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt our Prince or offer him a foster home while he awaits his forever family, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Our Pauper Prince could become the King of your Castle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pauper Prince, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
