Queenie's Story...
Like true royalty, Queenie is a loyal and loving companion. It is a shame that her previous owners did not treat her as such. After being surrendered to the Brooklyn shelter for the third time, she was finally released to rescue. Because of this, Queenie needs time to warm up to her new home. She will be shy at first, but then a burst of joy. She loves to gently give paw, and accept loving pats. After, she will run around and celebrate! She has been spayed, updated on vaccines, heartworm tested, and treated to a dental. All she needs now is a castle to call her own. Queenie has been professionally groomed, and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to foster or adopt Queenie, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Queenie, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
