Tito's Story...
Tito is a handsome 7 year old sable Shih Tzu who comes to us as an owner surrender. He is a true lap puppy, cute as a button and sweet as they come ... the perfect cuddle partner for Valentine's Day! Given his laid back nature, we are inclined to think that Tito will do best in an adult only home where he can enjoy some pampering and downtime. Tito loves to chill out and relax, so is sure to make a great snuggle buddy when you watch TV. When it's time to call it a night, Tito will be only too happy to curl up beside you and enjoy some zzzs. Tito is a healthy boy who is neutered, microchipped, current on shots and heartworm negative. He will shortly be treated to a dental cleaning, will be professionally groomed before adoption, and will go home with a new leash and collar. So he's all ready to go ... he just needs a destination. To adopt or foster Tito, please email and request an application. Tito is waiting to hear from you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tito, a Flushing Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
