Valerie's Story...
Valerie is a 2 year old purebred female Cocker Spaniel who comes to us as an owner surrender. She is on the smaller side for a Cocker Spaniel, weighing just under 20 pounds. Valerie is a super sweet girl who is accustomed to living with young children. She is friendly, loving and affectionate ... not a shy bone in her wiggly body! Valerie is a happy-go-lucky girl who wants nothing more than to be with her people. She has been spayed, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. She will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you are ready to make Valerie your Valentine, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Your heart is sure to skip a beat when you meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Valerie, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
