Pixie's Story...
Meet Pixie, a cutie patootie 4-5 year old female Poodle who is as sweet as they come. This adorable white pooch sparkles just like the starry dust that fairies sprinkle when they fly. Pixie first came to our rescue in emaciated condition, weighing only a little over 4 pounds, but she is eating well now while in our care and should get up to her normal weight of 7-8 pounds. Like some fairies, Pixie is shy at first but is an extremely loving and affectionate girl. She would do best in a quiet home with an owner who will enjoy holding her. This gentle doll has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on all her shots, and tested heartworm negative. She will be treated to a professional grooming that every good fairy deserves and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you’re ready to add a pocket full of glittery charm to your life and bring Pixie home, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Flushing Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
