Buddy's Story...

Buddy is a handsome pale buff Cocker Spaniel roughly 7 years old. Buddy is a victim of Hurricane Sandy. His family lost everything in the storm and had no choice but to surrender Buddy to Animal Control. Buddy of course is heartbroken but doing his best to keep a stiff upper lip. Buddy is a healthy dog with an excellent temperament who has been raised with a lot of love. He should make an excellent family pet. Buddy has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt Buddy, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Buddy is ready for the winds to change

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
