Bella's Story...

Hello, my name is Bellissima ('Bella' for short). I am a 5 year old purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a recent arrival to rescue from Animal Care and Control of NYC. True to my name, I love all things Italian ... of course, I have indulged in a few too many meatballs lately, which would in part account for my chunky frame. Here I am in my profile shot, licking my chops at the thought of a bit more proscuitto!! Now what's a girl with a hefty appetite like mine to do? There's just no way around it! In addition to securing a new home for myself, my New Year's resolutions include daily power walks and a reduced calorie diet (I gather that there are some great low-cal dog foods on the market that can help to keep me fit and trim). I am a very healthy girl and quite determined to regain my svelte physique, so expect to be fighting fit in no time at all. I have been spayed, microchipped, am current on all shots and have tested heartworm negative. Before going home I will be treated to a dental cleaning as well as to a professional grooming and will be sporting a new leash and collar. If you would like to adopt me in time for Valentine's Day (carrot sticks rather than a chocolate box will do just fine for me), please visit http://www.nyabandonedangels.com/, where you can complete and return an application on-line. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Let's shed those Holiday Pounds together. Love in the meantime, Bella  XXOO.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Flushing Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders who help with Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
