Tobey's Story...

Meet Tobey, a handsome red and white purebred Cocker Spaniel 9 years young. Tobey comes to us from Animal Care and Control of NYC, where his soulful eyes and sweet disposition caught our eye. Although an older dog, Tobey is nevertheless a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He will shortly be treated to a dental cleaning as well as a professional grooming and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home. Tobey is a friendly boy who gets along well with people and other pets and should make an excellent family dog. If you would like to adopt or foster Tobey while he awaits his forever family, please email rescue@nyabandonedangels.com and request an application. Tobey is waiting to hear from you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tobey, a Flushing Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Flushing, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Flushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
