Bessie's Story...

Bessie is a beautiful black and tan coonhound who was about 2 years old and weighed 51 pounds on input on 2/04/15 as an owner relinquish from Cherokee County, NC.  She had a negative heart worm smear at input and is spayed up-to-date on her vaccines.  Bessie has a condition in her right eye known as small eye (small pupil) with limited vision in that eye and does require weakly cleaning of secretions from her right eye to prevent infection.  She is so friendly and socialized and good with other dogs and will be a loving companion.  This is a beautiful hound who just needs a loving home.  She just needs a little help from her Mommy to keep that eye healthy.  If you can provide that loving home for Bessie, please email Davalee Hitchcock at davalee@fastmail.fm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bessie, a Marble Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Marble, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Marble.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marble already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marble breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marble paves the way for another one to be saved.
