Libra is a great dog who needed a little extra work before she was ready to go to her forever home, so she was chosen to be part of the very special Rebound program!

The Rebound program sends selected shelter dogs for training by inmates at the Sanger B. Powers Correctional Center in Oneida. These specially chosen and trained inmates work with FVHA's expert, Carol, to provide approximately 12 weeks of individualized training and socialization for the dogs. Upon completion, these very special dogs return to the shelter all ready for their big second chance at being adopted by a (very lucky) forever family.
