Diva's Story...
How Diva could go through all that she did and still be so nice is beyond us. This beautiful 3 1/2 year old rottweiler came to us from our Newark facility after suffering a traumatic injury, and is now looking for a fresh start in life. Diva was brought to the Newark medical clinic when she had a leg wound that wasn't healing. She was hit by a car and her owner never treated the injury, so when she finally came in, she had gangrene and the leg had to be amputated. Her owner decided to surrender her because she was now a three-legged dog. Diva has put all of this behind her and considers her former home to be just a bad memory. She has adjusted very well to having three legs and gets around beautifully. She is incredibly outgoing, friendly, affectionate, and playful too. She truly loves making new friends and literally never stops smiling. She is very well behaved and housebroken. Diva doesn't mind other dogs that are calm like her and will not be too much for her, and will also need a home with more mature, older children. She is an absolute delight to be around and Diva would fit in perfectly with any loving family that love and care for her the way she deserves. File#24464 3/3/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diva, a Forked River Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
