Pops's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pops's Story...
Pops was found as a stray and taken to the Memphis Animal Shelter. He was terrified there and just shook and shook. We couldn't let him be terrified or die there so we pulled him hoping that just MAYBE someone would be looking for the coolest senior dog around! This guy is blind and has very little to no hearing but he LOVES everyone! He is marked "special needs" because he is blind but please don't tell him he's in any way not just like all the other dogs...because he's just as capable! He really likes to be held and petted but is not that annoyingly "needy" kind of dog that won't leave you alone ever! (I can say that because I have one of those!) Pops is about 10 pounds and 12+ years old. He is full of life and has lots of love left to give. If you're looking for a couch buddy, maybe one to play Wheel Of Fortune with you...he's your guy! He is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Pops to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out the online application. The direct link is below:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pops, a Southington Poodle (Miniature)/Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Cockapoo for sale in Southington, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Cockapoo breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
