My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,
My name is Harper and I’m a cute little Bichon boy of seven who weighs ten pounds soaking wet. My foster mom says that good things come in small packages and that I’m an incredibly cute ‘package.’ (She also says I’m adorable, huggable, playful, sweet and entertaining! (I’m not exactly sure what that means but Mom smiles when she says it!)
I love to play with my toys, especially ones that squeak. I like to toss them in the air and chase them. If no one is around to join me, then I chase them all by myself. I’m also very generous with my toys. If you want to share them, I’ll share them right back. That’s the kind of guy I am! Mom says that I’m as SMART and KIND as I am playful!
Mom says I’m a natural meter and greeter – and that I’m very good with all new guests. I greet them with love and friendliness. They respond right back too! Of course I’m happy to have them pick me up and snuggle – then I’m off to conquer the world again!
I’m housebroken, come when I’m called, like my walks and love to ride in the car. I’m not bragging but I’m also great with kids and other animals. Why I’ve been around big kids, little kids, dogs, cats and rabbits- and I like them all! Best of all they like me right back!
Now you know that we bichons are pretty entertaining, right? That’s something we are known for. And I’m certainly one little guy who likes to play – with just about anyone. But yesterday there was this long (four feet no less!) snake that was sitting on the floor. I started at him and he stared right back. I knew he was going to move – but was just waiting for me to move first. So Mom came along and moved him – and then I knew exactly what to do. She said she couldn’t get over how polite I was – and then, how playful!
Mom says that I’m a darling little guy with a huge personality who would make anyone a great companion. She thinks I would be happiest in an active home with a family with kids and other animals. So if you’re looking for a loving, cute, happy and playful little guy with a personality that’s way bigger than I am, just ask for me. I’ll be waiting to meet you.
Your friend-in-waiting,
Happy and Handsome Harper
