Penelope's Story...
Hi, my name is Penelope and I am 10wks old. I am just a little shy, but now that I'm growing up I really do enjoy the company of other dogs and people. I don't care for hunting like my parents but think I would like to watch T.V or just playwith my new family. I am learning to walk on a leash and would be good company on walks. If you have a big yard where I could sunbath on ocassion that would be nice. My little sister Jillie and brother Daniel need homes too. If you have the love in your heart for any one of us please contact my Shelter. Applications are available online at www.sjbhumanesociety.org. and they can be e-mailed to townsend.hsdirector@gmail.com or faxed to 850-229-1191. You can also call Melody at the St. Joseph Bay Humane Society 850-227-1103. Adoption fee is $95 which includes spayed/neuter and vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Port St. Joe Bluetick Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Port St. Joe, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Port St. Joe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port St. Joe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port St. Joe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port St. Joe paves the way for another one to be saved.
