Randy's Story...
This is Randy. He is a 3 yr. old lab mix. He is friendly with people and most other dogs when introduced correctly. He can tend to be an 'alfa' male so would do best with a female or submissive male dog. He is energetic, loves his playtime and his human's attention. This boy needs a loving home with lots of hugs. Call the St. Joseph Bay Humane Society at 850-227-1103 and ask for Melody! Applications available at http://www.sjbhumanesociety.org. Adoption fee is $95 which includes spayed/neuter and vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy, a Port St. Joe Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Port St. Joe, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Port St. Joe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port St. Joe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port St. Joe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port St. Joe paves the way for another one to be saved.
