TERRY's Story...
Terry is the sweetest little 2-year old chihuahua/ rat terrier mix. And she is not just a pretty face, she is friendly and well behaved and gets along with other dogs. She showed up under a lady's house one day and has been fostered in a home. It appears that she has already had several litters of puppies, but has now been spayed, so no worries for her any more. She is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and weighs under 10 lbs so won't take up much room and is ready to go immediately to a loving, forever home. So if you are looking for a smart little girl who really wants to please and loves to cuddle, don't wait too long to call about Terry -- someone is going to grab her up fast. If you are interested in adopting Terry or any of the other terrific pets for adoption here at St. Joseph Bay Humane Society, please give us a call at 850-227-1103 and ask for Melody or via email at townsend.hsdirector@gmail.com . Why Adoption is a Great Option

TERRY, a Port St. Joe Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Port St. Joe, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Port St. Joe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port St. Joe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port St. Joe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port St. Joe paves the way for another one to be saved.
