Odie's Story...
Hello there. I am new around these parts and a little overwhelmed. Please don't mistake my shy nature for disinterest. It just takes me a little time to warm up. I am a puppy trying to learn about the world and get the hang of things. With the right owner by my side, I am sure that I can gain some confidence and learn to navigate new situations successfully. The best way to get me to relax and warm up to new people is with a yummy treat or a nice ear scratch. I really want to be a lap doggie, but I like to make sure of things before I give away my affections. Since I am still getting over my shyness, I would request a quiet home with older children 12 and up. If you have other dogs at home, please bring them down to meet me before deciding to adopt. I haven't had much experience with other dogs before and I am still learning how to interact with them. If you are ready to give a young beagle boy a boost, why don't you come down and see if we are a match today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odie, a Harrisonburg Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
