Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gemma is a beautiful and gentle 5 year old Golden who spent her life up to now making beautiful golden retriever puppies. She has a dark red coat and weighs in at just under 70 pounds.
She gets along great with other dogs and loves spending time in the yard playing and relaxing in the sun. She rarely barks. She does okay on the
leash as this is pretty new to her. We think she will learn very quickly!
Gemma listens quite well, but doesn't know too many commands just yet. She is housebroken and absolutely loves being petted. She happily sleeps on her bed near her foster family at night, but is still being kept in a smaller room by herself during the day since she has shown signs that she could be a chewer when not supervised. She will need a home that can show her patience and love since she is still easily startled by loud noises and sudden movements. Gemma is showing great strides in becoming more comfortable with her foster home and foster parents, but this process will take time. Having another dog in her forever home will help her to learn how to be loved.
