My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On a recent stormy day, this beautiful young Shepherd came into the Coronado Animal Care Facility as a stray. As showers poured down, the staff looked at those soulful brown eyes and named her Rain.

Not much gets by this girl! Rain is as sharp as they come, carefully observing everything around her. Because she is still a pup, she needs training to learn her basic commands and respect for boundaries and limitations. This will come easy for her since she loves the attention and camaraderie of her human friends. With patience and love, she can blossom into a dedicated companion with lots of personality.

On outings, Rain rides well in a car. She currently walks cautiously on a leash and staff and volunteers are helping her to learn how to be more confident and understand how it all works.

Right now, an active family would be preferable for Rain - one where there are family members not far from her throughout the day. This spirited girl loves to run and play with her toys, and likes keeping you where the action is.

Come meet Rain soon to see her potential. Are you the one to give her a chance to develop into a devoted family companion, one that will keep you company for many days to come?

You can meet Rain any day at the Coronado Animal Care Facility between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Rain, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor. Or, you may complete the online dog adoption application.
