Spirit's Story...

Welcome Spirit to SGF!! This beautiful boy is 16 to 17 pounds and was born on Christmas day, 2010. He is still figuring out his place in his new pack at his foster home, but has not shown any signs of dog aggression and is totally ignoring the cat. He does take some warming up to new humans, but once he trusts you he is very affectionate and will follow you everywhere! Spirit loves to play with toys and he is a very curious boy. Spirit will be getting vetted and neutered this week and then will be ready for his forever home! He is being fostered in central Ohio, but transport can be arranged. If you are interested in making Spirit part of your family please fill out an application at sophiasgracefoundation.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spirit, a Coatesville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Coatesville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Coatesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coatesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coatesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coatesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
